This week will be focused on the details of the greenhouse effect and greenhouse gases. We will be examining the things we do that contribute to those gases and the effect of carbon dioxide on the temperature of Earth.
Monday: Play preview 3rd hour; Pass out progress reports and watch Global Warming Video all other hours
Tuesday: Begin Greenhouse Effect Activities, Carbon Footprint online questionnaire
Wednesday: Finish Greenhouse Effect Actitivies, Review and Discuss Greenhouse Effect Activities
Thursday: Review Greenhouse Gases, Introduction to Carbon Dioxide and Temperature Change (Inconvenient Truth video clip), Begin Carbon Dioxide and Temperature Change Activity
Friday: Finish Carbon Dioxde and Temperature Change Activity, Go over activity

We will be finishing our weather unit this week. We are constructing board games to help learn and review the ideas surrounding severe weather. There will be a test on Friday.

This week we will focus on Predicting the weather and understanding the conditions necessary for severe weather (thunderstorm, tornado, hurricane, flood, and lake effect snow). We will also begin creating a severe weather board game as a class that can be played in order to reinforce ideas learned in class.
