i think Rebcca should ask her fello class mates to teacher another lesson
Margaret Robinson | 15/09/2008, 08:23
Rebecca learned that even though people are different or talk different doesnt mean they are dumb or mean. Rebecca learned a very inportant lesson
Shelbi Dyke | 15/09/2008, 08:24
One lesson that Rebecca learned was that even though people are different skin colors and races they are still smartand can be very nice. Rebecca saw lots of foreign kids and she didn't sit next to them because she thought that they were dumb and that they couldn't speak English because they wern't American.
BreAnna | 15/09/2008, 08:25
In Rebeccas lesson on the first day at Brewster school she refused to become friends with people from other countries. But she learned that just because they are born in a different place, or look different or talk different doesn't meam that they are different or you can't be friends with them. So Rebecca learned that you should not judge a person because thay are different. That was the important lesson.
Sierra | 15/09/2008, 08:25
Rebecca learned that even though people may come from different places, or look different or talk different that doesnt meen they are. If your friends with a foreign born person it doesnt mean you shouldnt be there friend. Rebecca learned a very inportant lesson not to judge people untill you actually meet them.
Ethan Hovngh | 15/09/2008, 08:27
In"Rebecca's Lesson", Rebecca was going to a new school. She didn't know that everybody would be foreign. When she got to school she realised that she couldn't understand anyone. She went to her classroom and found only one person who talked english. after class she found out that different doesn't mean dumb.
Ashley Boersma | 15/09/2008, 08:27
Rebecca learned that even though people come from different places in the world they are just like us. She also learned that even though the kids did'nt speak her language that did'nt mean they were dumb it mean'nt they were unique. How cool would it be to speak another language?
Alexis Umlor | 15/09/2008, 08:27
In the story Rebbacca's Lesson I think the lesson she learned was not to judge a book by its cover. She also lerned that just because you are from a different country does not mean you are stupid or dumb.
Rebecca was always judge people because they where froma different contry, and in the end she ended up being frinds whith a foren born kid.
Trey Phifer | 15/09/2008, 08:28
In the text Rebbeca's Lesson, the first thing rebbeca learns is that it is alright to have friends from a different country. She first meets Olga,a russian girl, and thinks that she is american. Once she speaks to her Olga is russian. Then, Rebbeca starts to hang out with all of these people from a different country. The lesson that she learned on the first day of school is that it is alright to have friends from a different country.
Kyle | 15/09/2008, 08:29
Treat everyone the same even if their black, white, blue if their big or little or if they are a different religon as you or if they ware funny close what if that was you? Would you like it? I whouldent so I think the lesson is to treat every one the same.
Chance Otten | 15/09/2008, 08:29
on the first day of school rebecca learnd that looks can be disiveing an that just because someone is from a different country it does not mean that we or them are better than any one elts in the world. she also learnd that not every one is better or worse in the world.
Jozlyn Evans | 15/09/2008, 08:30
In Rebecca's lesson, Rebacca goes to a new school and she doesn't know who to be friends with because most of the other kids were foreign born kids. Then she meet a girl named Olga, Olga looked American but once she talked Rebecca got sad so then she learned that it doesnt matter what language they spoke. Also at first so thought the foreign born kids were done and didn't know anything. Then she realized that just because they spoke a different language they weren't dumb.
cody k. | 15/09/2008, 08:30
rebcca has to learn how to like eople for who they are and she has to try to become friends and learn more langejues
Nick Veldkamp | 15/09/2008, 08:30
In Rebeccas lesson, Rebecca learns on the first day that different does not mean dumb. On the first day Rebecca meets Olga a Russian girl and realizez not every body there was american so she had to get used to it. The lesson that she learned is that not every body is American and that does not mean dumb.
kelsey vanrhee | 15/09/2008, 08:31
On the first day of school Rebecca learned that foreign born kids are not doumb. Rebecca also learned that all of her friends don't have to be american they can be foreign born kids too or any culture. One other thing she learned is that she can be friends with kids that don't speek english too. thats whhat Rebcca learned the first day of school!
Kelsey VanOrden | 15/09/2008, 08:31
Rebecca learned even if there is only foreign-born kids.At Brewster school. They should all be treated farely.
So she didn't want to sit next to the two boys becausse she thought that the didn't know how to talk in english. And that they were probly dum.So she sat by a girl that Rebecca thought could talk in english.
Jordan Arsenault | 15/09/2008, 08:31
Rebecca learned that even thoe that there are foreign-born kids does not mean that they are dumb.
She even learned that looks can be hard to find out things about that foreign-born kid.Even thoe that they are not American, but, some of them can or can't speek English.
shelby hansen | 15/09/2008, 08:32
the main lesson that rebecca leard was just because someone looks diffrent or speaks a diffrent language you dosnt maen your better than him or her.another lesson was that you can be friends with forenign-born kids too,and not just amarican kids. But the main lesson is that everyone is eqully with each other.
connor | 15/09/2008, 08:33
dont judde people by thre religon because if there American,Afcian,or German, they could be realy nice, have a cool background, orlike the same stuff as you,so dont juddie people by there religon. In the story Rebecca thought that people from orther counteys she would not become friends with because they were diffiend but shedid become friends with them. That is why you should not jude people by there relion.
derek bothum | 15/09/2008, 08:35

sierra | 15/09/2008, 08:38
im responding to Jozlyn Evans: I agree that just because Olga is foreign born doesnt mean Rebecca shouldnt be friends with her. Some people have troubles geting friends mostly the people that transfer schools all the time.
Jozlyn Evans | 15/09/2008, 08:39
Im writing back to BreAnna. I agree with her that when she went to her new school she didn't want to be friends with foreign born kids because she thought they were dumb.
Ethan Hovingh | 15/09/2008, 08:39
I agree with you. When Rebecca thinks that Olga is American, Rebecca doesn't reject Olga when she found out that Olga was Russian. I think your right about her lesson she learned
kelsey vanrhee | 15/09/2008, 08:40

Ashley Boersma | 15/09/2008, 08:40
I agree with Kelsey VanRhee that on the first day of school, Rebecca learned that even though they are different it does'nt mean they're dumb because when Rebecca got to school she thought the other kids were dumb and she was smarter than them.
Margaret Robinson | 15/09/2008, 08:40
Rebecca learned a very important lesson. She learned that just because you are forien born does not meen they are dumb or mean.It just means they are different. Just because people are different does not mean they should be treated diffrent. They do not deserve to be treated mean eather.
Kelsey VanOredn | 15/09/2008, 08:41
I agree with Jordan that even though there only may be foreign kids at that school. And if they don't speack your langue dosen't mean there dum.
shelby hansen | 15/09/2008, 08:41
i agree with shelbi D. that just because you foreign-born dosnt mean your dumb.
Jordan Arsenault | 15/09/2008, 08:42
Dear Kelsey,
I agree with you Kelsey because even though that there are foerign-born kids does not mean that you should judge them just how they look, or what they speek, or if they are smart or dumb.
cody k | 15/09/2008, 08:43
rebcca needs to be more cauesus and be nicer to the other kids and not be judge mental she needs to make friends and try to thir languig or she might not have alot of friends and her current friends might end up and dump her out and she would have no friends
Shelbi Dyke | 15/09/2008, 08:43
I agree with Shelby H. because it is true that even if people are different they or speak a different language that doesn't mean that you are better than them I also agree that Rebecca could be friends with the forenign born kids.
Nick Veldkamp | 15/09/2008, 08:44
I agree that Rebecca finds all foreign kids at the new school and realizez different does not mean dumb.
Trey Phifer | 15/09/2008, 08:44

Connor Fiorenzo | 15/09/2008, 08:45
I agree with Kyle because in the stroy Rebeccas leason Rebecca treat people from orther countrys diffent because she thought they wornt as good as her.
Kyle Boonstra | 15/09/2008, 08:45
Conners,
