Each class learned something new and exciting!

6A started out the year with Prime Time, where they learned about factors and multiples. They also learned some cool ways to use numbers' prime factorizations--ask one of them to show you how to use them to find the GCF or LCM! They are now into Bits and Pieces I, learning about fractions, decimals, and percents.

6B started with Shapes and Designs. They learned about polygons and angles. They discovered some interesting patterns and properties that help us see God in the world around us! They recently started Prime Time.

7th grade started with two algebra units: Variables and Patterns and Moving Straight Ahead. They are learning more than they ever wanted to know about equations, graphs, and tables. But they are discovering many cool relationships among them, and they do get to use the graphing calculators too!

8th grade started out the year altogether with the unit Samples and Populations, in which they learned about various aspects of gathering and analyzing data. They also learned how to make box and whisker plots. They recently divided into their two groups. The Conneced group is learning about the Pythagorean Theorem. The algebra group has learned about uses of variables and of multiplication in algebra.
