Hard to believe we're on our last marking period, and spring break starts next week!!! We've been working hard in math class...

In math, 6A finally finished Bits and Pieces II; they should be experts now about performing operations with percents, decimals, and fractions. Perhaps you could take a few of them out to dinner, and let them figure the amount of tax and tip! This week they started Shapes and Designs, in which they will learn about polygons and many awesome patterns God created in the world of geometry.

6B is in the red these days as they are studying negative numbers. They are working hard to learn the basics of operations with integers. They will soon finish this unit and move on to Bits and Pieces II.

7th grade can tell you about anything you want to know regarding scale factors, similar figures, and how to find a missing side length or height of a figure. Also, ask a 7th grader about the new friends, the Wumps, they met in this unit.

8th Connected is busy finding probabilities, and algebra, having recently conquered exponential change, has moved into the exciting world of quadratic relationships!!! Ask an algebra student if they have memorized the quadratic formula yet! :)
